Please, please, please help!!!!
Hey, guys. I really was hoping not to have to ask for help again, but I do. See, we got a letter from the county treasurer/auditor’s office, and the gist of it was that we have to pay both last fall as well as this spring’s taxes on our house or the state will sell it at auction, and while we might have been able to do something if we’d had some time, they only gave us until September 4th to pay it. We just don’t have it. I’ve called family and those I know to ask for help, but again, no one has the money to help us. The total we need is $710.27 by September 4th. Thanks to a sweet forumer who read my posts about this right after we’d gotten the letter earlier today, we only need $500.00 now. Please, if you can possibly help, please please do. Our house is paid for, which means that we just pay property taxes, and we just can’t afford to be kicked out and have to pay rent somewhere, and I know that I’ve asked you all before to help if you can, and so many of you have, and for that, I so appreciate you all.

I dont know for sure if I can exactly afford to do this right now… But Im more than certain it wont be a problem in the future, so Im going to listen to what I think God is telling me, and give you this money because you obviously need it more. Getting kicked out of my house has always been a fear of mine, and I do NOT want to see it happen to you Sue. I hope and pray that more people will help you all out.
Other than being threatened with loosing your house though, have things been looking up for you at all?

Slowly, we’re seeing signs that things are starting to look up. They’re starting to call guys back to work where my husband works, and there’ve been rumors that the hours will pick up again in a month or two. It’s just a matter of getting by till then, and to be glad that there are good people still out there (thank you!!!) and to be thankful for the things we have: our health, our family, and those things that money doesn’t buy 🙂 Thank you again. i cant help but wonder…have you considered trying your hand at selling some of your purity stuff? Slap Cain on a t-shirt and hell I’d buy it. The economy might be flagging but the Anime Conventions are as large and boisterous as ever.

The problem with selling anything Purity is the gray area of fanfiction. Since it is based on InuYasha, I’d technically have to have permission from a host of folks from Rumiko Takahashi on down the line, pay royalties to them, etc.

Sue, you have been my savior after I lost my dad. Your stories saved me from my fear and depression. Purity had inspired me to become a writer and I have written a few fanfictions of my own. When I read about Gin, it was as if you were writing about me. You and your stories have been a big part in my life and I would love to give back to you. I’m sure some people have donated already. If there is an amount of money left that you need, I’d like to donate rest.

awww, that’s so sweet! Well, we still need $250 to pay the rest of the taxes, but if you can’t do that, then I can certainly understand and wouldn’t want anyone to do anything that they cannot. I feel so blessed to be touched by so many good people, and for that, even if for nothing else, then I will always, always be grateful 🙂
